A personal exploration of my anima - concealed and revealed, hidden and emerging. Every one of these images is in a way a self portrait and an introspection. The cocoon of exile and solitude that envelops, constrains but also protects and comforts my anima on many levels is the subject of this part of my work.
One important discovery during the evolution of this work is that confinement and constraint carry in them the seed of freedom.
"The realities subsumed under the concept “anima” form an extremely dramatic content of the unconscious. It is possible to describe this concept in rational, scientific language, but in this way one entirely fails to express its living character. Therefore I deliberately and consciously give preference to a dramatic, mythological approach and terminology. In describing the living processes of the soul, such a terminology is not only more expressive but also more exact than abstract scientific terms." (C.G. Jung)
